About our CEO
Shaniqua Powell, MSW
After losing her mother in 2018, Shaniqua faced a season of deep depression that led her to therapy—where compassionate social workers and God’s presence brought healing and renewed purpose. Through further losses and battles with grief, she found hope again through prayer and the loving community at Gethsemane Worship Center International in Albany, GA.
Now, through Crossing the Jordan Services, Shaniqua blends faith, prayer, and holistic care to help others overcome depression, anxiety, and life’s hardships. Her mission extends to child abuse prevention, community advocacy, and empowering underserved small towns—especially the homeless and vulnerable.
Her work is a tribute to her loved ones’ legacy and a beacon of hope, proving that with God’s grace, even the darkest seasons can lead to new life and purpose.
